Hi all you britballers...'old' and new. As Bilko said last year, him and Muzzy are with the Rams - and are again for 2006! They are passing on some great experience to other players but are also STILL knocking heads with the opposition This year we have another couple of names with the team that you will know...Eddie harry is signing the papers and we have Orlando Weekes a Head Coach!!!

So, if you wanna drag that kit out of the closet or attic come on down to the Rams and join you (ex) team mates. I'm sure that as Cougars you still have some battling left in you

All details are on our site at www.yorkshirerams.com Hope to see ya.

Happy new year to old cougars out there, well it's almost O linemen eat all you can night again. Yes on Superbowl night we will once again be giving the staff at China City, Leeds Rd, Cas Vegas a near heart attack as Ken Phelps demolishes a full turine of roast duck and Bootface tries to eat his own weight in king prawns.
If you see this and feel like getting close the scary people of american football please feel free to be there around 8.30pm and bring about £20 for the night.
Hope you are all well and we would like to see some of the old faces on the night.
Remember always be offensive

I'm sure i would have played more if that **** Tim Casey hadn't been so good.
Still live in Leeds (Kippax) but hoping to move to Florida sometime soon.

Hi,
I was one of the 50 or so who attended that first meeting in 84 and played for one season as middle linebaker No 55 before I joined the RAF. I can never listen to Queens, We Will Rock You, without thinking of those days. I married Carole (cheerleader) in 85 and have a son, aged 19 and a daughter aged 17 but things went pair shaped in 93 and we split. I came back to Leeds in 95, met my second wife, Gaynor and now have 6 year old twin girls. I played for a couple of
RAF teams but gave it up due to an old ankle injury. I really miss those days and would love to talk to anyone who remembers me.
Regards,
Dave.

Well, here's a story, just when you thought old Cougars never die and simply fade away, life happens. My daughter Samantha turns 22 soon and just graduated college. Guess what? My wife is 7 months pregnant. (I still got it) So the old coach is starting a new team. Rebecca will be joining us in August. Please note the new email address for us. And the next time you blokes plan a trip to the states let me know cuz, I could have been in Cincinnati in one hour by plane. Forever your coach and friend, Drew Roberts

In viewing the player pictures, I've noticed that Gregg Thelen's picture is on my spot. Could someone please have Gregg's pictures put on his spot. I'm sure he'd like that. If anyone has any more pictures from the 1989 season, I'd love to see them. My season in Leeds was probably the most fun I've ever had playing football. The Cougar fans (Cool Cats #1) were so gracious and the guys on the team busted their butts. I'd love to hear from anyone connected with the team from 1989.
Sincerely,
John LaFleur

Tom you best be careful as "Mr Stott" can have a dark and unpleasant side to him when he is on the sports field.Just ask anyone who was cut blocked by him when he was in his prime.  He was my understudy and a very good student of the more aggresive elements of the game he made too.  Regards

hey all. sorry for interupting ur chats or watever but i jus thought id stick summat on here cos my teacher is Mr Stott, well Neil Stott to you guys and he tols me about leeds cougars and what the letters stand for and that. he doesnt know im doin this so i will tell him tommorrow! haha he was a technology teacher and now he has kind of merged from specialising in technology on computers to an I.T teacher. he is also my little brothers head of year which is kind of weird too!! i am now in year 11 and sittin my GCSEs in 6 weeks!! when i was in year 7 through to year 9 another teacher and Mr Stott tought us rugby union after school. it was funny beacuse the other teacher wasnt as strong as Neil, and so when we tackled him he basically brushed us aside and told us to tackle harder next time but this other teacher basically fell over because we had tackled him. was Neil any good at american football? he has hardly ever talked about it until we questioned him the other day. he has got a lot bigger since he played too!! haha the picture of him is quite funny actually!!can you give me any more information bout him? thanks a lot for everything. Hello everyone, just surfing about, check the web site every so often and just wondering where all those lads from the juniors are!I remember a squad of about 50+ in the 91 season and from what I can see theres only a hand full on here, maybe there just occasional visitors like me who don't sign in!Anyway main reason for posting was to send my condolences to colin and the lads, even though I haven't seen them for over 10 years I have fond memories of joyce on the sidelines making tea for the supporters and her frequent shouts of "rubbish ref!!"from behind us Anyway if anyone remembers me i'm the one whose maroon VW polo set on fire one training session and had to get towed home!! and who also played O line in that final season (94 I think)with paddy michaud, stuart cliff, stuart annakin and another lad whose name evades me at the mo We lost to birmingham(I think)in the playoffs that year so if theres anyone out there who played on that team by all means get in touch or post on here,it'll be interesting reminiscing if nothing else

PHIL ( BILKO # 54 ) KEELING
Hello everyone, great updates Mark and keep it coming. To all that know me i am Phil( BILKO ) Keeling # 54, also known as one of the Fat Boys along side that greatest of `D` linemen Paul ( MUZZY ) Muscroft # 92. When the Cougars folded a few moons back, myself, muzzy, malcolm parker, joe martin and a few more went to play in Sheffield for the Cyclones and was there until the end of the 98 season when they too folded. Our last game of YANK BALL was in the north / south allstars game Myself and the Muzz decided to hang up the boots .About 6 weeks back Muzzy came to me after having a bad day with coaching his two lads at rugby and said that he needed to DO SOME DAMAGE to someone and said he was going to take up footy for another seaon. ( OH MY GOD, THE MANS INSANE, but ya knew that anyway( LOL) . Anyway we have been training with the Yorkshire Rams and we are enjoying it. Paul Goodward ( GOODY ) already plays with them and we heard on Sunday Steve ( BLUE ) Newton may be making an appearance cos he knows that some of his stomping buddies are wanting some errrrrshhha. The good thing about playing britball now is that ourselves at the tender young age of 40, can still compete because it is nowhere near the standard we played at in the 80`s 90`s. So my old muckers if you want a laugh come see the zimmer frame boys bang some heads again, Hee Hee Hee,
My best regards to you all and hope we get another reunion soon, it`s been too long, keep in touch.

REMEMBER THE COUGAR CHANT B4 GAME TIME.

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd take a look at what's been going on and have just seen the photo updates from the cardiff bowl - good stuff mark. It's just a pity that the day finished so badly after such a gold standard season - the day that never really got started ...
I still relate to the cougars more than any other team I have ever played for and have both the presentation plaque and the Cool Cats tankard that were presented to me following my cruciate ligament injury in 1987 - such a long time ago and yet still oh so fresh in the memory ! As the phrase commented, "missed but never forgotten". I keep both on my desk as a permanent reminder of team spirt and friendship that never fades. The cougars will stay in my heart forever.
Good to hear Mick H is well - if you read this mick, I am working with nick prothero (have done for the last 5 years) and will tell him to get on line and let you know how he is - maybe catch up with that special offensive unit.
The years pass by but the spirit stays young !

Am still busy updating the site - BUT from the e-mails I have just sent out, the following have been returned with errors :

richieh76@netscapeonline.co.uk for Richard Heighton
alfhooker@aol.com for Hector Hurley
BIG.PAV@VIRGIN.NET for Pavlo Andrusiak
jezdove@tiscali.co.uk for Jez Dove
steve@clift18.freeserve.co.uk for Steve Clift
WBROGDON@cfl.com for Chuck Brogdon

Can anyone left me know if the above e-mail addresses have changed and if so, what they are now.

Also, would you all please let me know if you change e-mail addresses so I can keep the e-mails page up to date. Thanks - Mark :-)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, just to let you know that the site has had another big update with around 80 new photos uploaded - Some from a recent night out for the linemen and a load from Mick Hardaker's collection that Mark Hopkinson has scanned for me.

The pics can be viewed by clicking the icon below or by clicking the same icon in the menu bar on the left hand side

BUT, I need you help.

I don't know who most of the people in the photos are - Would you have a look when you get chance and either e-mail me with any that you know or use the forms on each page to send me any details.

Once again, if any of you have anything that you would like including on the site, just let me know and I will do my best to include it.

Thanks Mark :-)

At the offensive linemand reunion on Sunday 6th Feb, we decided that the "O" line was under represented on the web-site and was wondering if there was enough material available create an "O" line wallpaper?
It could be supplemented by well known text such as
"holding no. 70"
"false start no 75" and
"illegal reciever downfield no.52"
or just use a general "unecesary roughness" and insert any number between 60 and 79.
We had a great night and the China City lost out on the £12 for all you can eat when Ken Phelps ate £15s worth of duck for a starter.
Talk was of a summer overnight out Malton way and we may even open the invitation to non line members (if you dare )

cheers

I'm sure I speak for everyone who ever wore the blue and gold when I say that Auntie Joyce was the greatest Cougar fan that ever lived, a great woman who always gave everthing to the club.

She will be missed by all that knew her and I will always have a special place in my heart for her.

My deepest condolences to Colin and the boys in what I know are difficult times.

My best to you all

Daz Milner #39 for the juniors!
Hey all. Its with sadness that I am writing to you. I am sure many of you will remember my Mum, "Auntie Joyce" to all the juniors and most of the seniors! She was very good friends with many of you. Sadly Mum died on Jan 14th this year age 65. She was taken to hospital with a mild stroke on dec 16th and never recovered. Things went from bad to worse when she was in hospital and after slipping into a coma, she finally went to sleep at 25 to 12 on Friday morning. We had the cremation last monday where the Cougars were mentioned and several of the Juniors came along. Please pass on this information to anyone who remembered Mum.
Dad is doing OK, he retired with Mum last April and now lives in the same village as me in Hessle. Those of you who knew Duncan and I, we are doing OK too. Just as Mum would have wanted. The Cougars were a huge part of Mum's life for such a long time, both senior and junior. Thanks for the memories. Darryl (Daz)

Hi Everybody
I've finally updated some more of the site!!!

I've got round to scanning some articles from my copies of "First Down" and have uploaded them to the site - You can find them from the link in the left hand menu bar of the main site called COUGARS PRESS

I have only got a few articles up at the moment but in time will have everything up there.

Depending on the speed of your internet connection, it may take a while to load the whole page BUT, you can be reading the first articles whilst waiting for the others to appear

Hope you enjoy them - Please let me know

Cheers - Mark

I am looking for any photos, match reports ANYTHING on the Steelers/Cougars games. Did you play for anyone else against the Steelers? If so, then let me know.

I am also on the look out for anything to add to my personal collection of memorabilia. I am looking for programmes, badges, stickers, caps, key rings, pennants -ANYTHING!!!

I need your help and if you can't help me, can you put me in touch with someone who can?

just a few lines to let you all know I have been to the States and spent a week with Sally and Stephen this month and they are both doing o.k..Sally has gained great comfort from knowing how most of us felt about Dan and the fact that the Cougar bond we all have is still strong.
I also met with C.T.,Cliff Harvey and the two Greggs [I know it sounds like a double act], who all wanted me to let everyone know how important their time over here was to each of them and how grateful they still are for being given the chance of a lifetime. It realy is a pity that it takes an event like Dan's death to move old brothers closer together.
I believe that I conveyed the feelings of all Dan's friends here to everyone in the States and they were all truly grateful as they all knew how important the Cougars was to Dan.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing,as is the legal fight to prove who was responsible for the cause of Dan's death, I fear the latter will take a long time to resolve
If any one has any old pictures of Dan in his Cougar days could you let me know as I am trying to collect some and send them to Sally. I am also after a good shot of the offensive line in a three point stance and ready to go as I feel I need to have one hanging in my hall to honour the time spent with the "freemasons" of football.
Cheers #70

Hi everyone

I've just got back from a 4 month tour in the Middle East against the Taliban/al Queda and was devestated by the news of Dan's accident.
Seems nothing makes sense in this world.
I have sent my condolences to Sally and Stephen and share a profound sense of loss with everyone who knew the big guy. Long may we remember him!

Sorry I wasn't around for the reunion, I was kind of busy in the desert :o) same goes for the Superbowl, although I did get to watch it with the USAF guys out there. I will still be out here in Cyprus for another year or so yet but I hope I can get back to a reunion sometime soon. It's good to see from the photos that all you guys are just as fat, bald and grey as I am now hehehe. Keep the Cougar flag flying! Till next time, Comin at ya!

Hi Everybody - Just to let you all know that I've changed my e-mail address due to large amounts of SPAM being received.

So, with immediate effect, my new e-mail address is

mark@rangey.demon.co.uk

and NOT mraynor@rangey.demon.co.uk

Please update your address books :-)

Also, if you reply to any e-mails that I send out in future, when you click on the reply button, you will have to remove the word MONSTER out of my e-mail address.

I believe that this solution (although a bit fiddly at first) will stop me receiving all the rubbish that I've been receiving (around 25 unwanted e-mails a day)

If you forget to remove the MONSTER part of the e-mail address then I'm afraid that the e-mail will never reach me.

If you send anything to my old address then I will receive it for a while but not forever :-)

This way, hopefully I will still be able to correspond with people that I want to rather than with get rich quick schemes or people advertising SEX, SEX, SEX!!!

Hang on, that might not be so bad after all ;-)

Cheers - Mark :-)

I have literally just met Mick in his local pub and heard about Dan. I am in complete and utter shock ! Having not been on the web site for a couple of months, I didn't know. I last spoke to Dan , early December and can't believe it. I will be at Chuck's later today for the Superbowl. I need to speak to someone to try and make some sort of sense of this. Dan was one of the most genuine people I have ever met. He will be sorely missed.

Seems that I'm always leaving messages on the website at the moment, I agree that we should have some memorial service for Dan, the best person to contact would be the big 70# (Mick Hardaker), he may have some ideas what we can do later in the year. #82

I spoke to Sally Moore last night, her and Stephen and doing o.k., Sal told me that the police have said that Dan did not fall asleep at the wheel, they now say that because of the marks in the road and the condition of one of the tyres, he must have had a blow out and lost control of the car.I wanted to keep anyone who is still finding it all hard to believe, as informed as possible.
Sally checks the site out from time to time so if you have anything you want to say about Dan to her ,or indeed anyone else, use the Cougar site

On the 28th December 2001, I attended the funeral of Dan Moore, at the Sandy Hook Methodist Church, Columbus Indiana.
Dan died in a motoring accident on Interstate 65, after returning from a business trip in Wisconsin. At the funeral were Chris Thomas, Cliff Harvey, Greg Thelen and Greg Brenner. Dan was later cremated and his ashes sent to Cincinatti, to a service held there at a later date. Dan also carried a donor card, and has helped several people in the University Hospital in Indianapolis, to a better life. If any body can explain why we have lost a great friend, then I hope they can explain, because I'm at a loss to understand. The floral tribute at the funeral was an "L" shaped arrangement of yellow lilies and blue delphiniums.

Comments: I've sent a few pictures from the reunion to Mark for posting. In addition, I also sent a few photos from other travels I've been on lately, namely to visit former Cougars spread out here in the states. These guys couldn't make the reunion, but they are still important friends of ours. I caught up with Gregg Thelan and his family in Wisconsin, but he'll have to explain the 2 red-haired boys of his & Suzie! Chris Thomas(CT) is now a Harley riding police officer in Cincinnati, yes, the crime rate is low on his beat! He and his new wife Lisa recently added a baby girl. And Mark Fenton, the TE from Harrogate during 1989 season? We hooked up in New York last week as he took a break from his job on Wall Street to buy a poor LB lunch. They too have a new baby girl. The reunion was a good idea, it didn't last long enough as we all needed more time to catch up on things. The day did prove what I've known all along, whether in my travels or on the computer, wearing Cougar blue has enhanced all our lives and we need to keep the faith. Gotta fly...55

Comments: As you can tell from the reunion pictures, I continue to complete passes (mostly to defensive backs)without much protection from my line. Hector gets my game ball cuz he didn't drop anything. What you can't tell from the pictures is that after two plays, everybody got intense and we really tried to score and they really tried to stop us (which they did all but one time). (A special thanks to Drew Harding for the black and blue handprint he left on my chest) Just seeing Mick's face when I walked up was worth the trip. Thanks to Jez Dove and family for picking my wife and I up in York cuz the trains weren't running between York and Leeds that day and for putting us up overnight. Please note our new email address.

Thanx for the message Steve #54 you were the best linebacker we had until that kickoff. You really got to the ball "FAST". Comments: Cougars, Coolcats, friends & families, the reunion is on for this Sunday, July 22 @ LOTHERTON HALL 2 p.m. The venue has been confirmed by #70, big Mic Hardaker. As usual though, he needed a linebacker to spell correctly and post a message for him! (poor ole lineman, if they were any slower they'd be going backwards!!) The show starts at 2 p.m., BYOBFB (bring your own beer, food & bullshi...) It will be great to see how life is after football for everyone, and some of you lunatics haven't quit yet? We all took something away from the game, now we can brag and boist about how big those contributions of ours were! (my games get better every year!!) I especially look forward to introducing my 1/2 English son (named afterr Stegg & Blue) Stephen Andrew to all of you. Comments: I am hoping to organise a big Cougar reunion at Lotherton hall on sunday July 22nd 2001 early afternoon onwards. What I need now is some help contacting as many old Cougars as possible right back to the early days of Andy Michaelson and Karl Kovak,in the days when Muzzy used to train without a helmetand offensive linemen were in mortal danger every time a pulling gaurd was called for[mainly because we couldn't remember who was going where and would run into each other with alarming regularity and then call it misdiretion]. So if any one has any ideas for the day or knows the number of one of the old guys please get in touch. It may a good idea to post a message on the site when you have checked your diary to see if you are free and to let everyone else know who has and hasn't been found and contacted.I f we all put a little time in this could become a huge annual event.I know that Dan Moore,Craig Sagar,Sreve Huxham and Murdoch as well as the Cheeserights are definates to attend. If anyone needs to speak to me my number is 01924 476436.I hope this thing takes off now but it is down to all of us to get in touch with people who wont see this web site. cheers for now and remember, always be offensive Mick H #70

Comments: Only just found out about this site tonight at Jez Dove's 40th party. As one of the original Cougars, we are talking Manchester Spartans@ the old Belle Vue stadium. My fondest memory is when we turned up to play to be told that every player must have a gumshield. We managed to buy some of their manager, Bernie ?, and ended up with 11 in a bucket for the whole squad. When you came of the pitch you dropped your gumshield in a bucket, as you went on you took what ever was available. They stuffed us good and proper, but revenge is sweet! I have lots of memories to trade with you old Cougars and look forward to hearing from you all soon. For any trivia fans out there we also may be able to claim the record for playing before the largest number of spectators in the UK. Anyone remember playing the Poole Sharks in an exhibiton game at Rounday Park during the Leeds Show, 1984? Also if you want to know what our original team chant had to be it was a variation of the Ghostbusters theme tune, renamed to "Nosebusters" in honour of our even then ageing Nose tackle Andy Slater. Nice to hear from Coach Roberts, who was the inspiration for the first nickname that the team achieved, "Air Cougars", with his deft passing to his wide out partner Sammy Pryce. It would be nice for people to understand the history of the Cougars and the huge amount of effort and energy that was put into achieving a dream that nearly everybody else thought was a stupid idea. With this in mind somebody should mention Andy Michaelson, who arranged the first ever meeting of the Leeds Cougars at the ester pub on Harrogate Road. Without him none of this would have happened! Any way that is enough for now, I will be back to see if any one remembers me, I was the quiet guy with glasses who wore #31, played strong safety and thought that the sweetest thing in life was to unload all the weeks frustrations at work on some poor unsuspecting wide receiver. Bye for now. Alex Tepielow

Well, not sure if any of the old Cougar clan remember that I spent a short time at camp in 1990, and I too enjoyed the time there, with many of the players I have seen while playing in the UK forthe past ten years. I guess This is a Thanx for me to you for giving me a tremendous opportunity to experience, every facet of BritBall, it is just a shame I didn't play all 10 years with you..One of my fondess memories is Sacking CT in a 91' games at your place for a touchback, we still (falcons) but hey it was close.........All the best, and thanks for the memoriesDan "DJ" Brooks #44

I can't believe what I just found. A website devoted to the greatest people I've ever known. I was the coach from the very first practise, 1983 through 1986. What a great site. As a former one year alumni, it is great to see in print the names of all the great players I played with. I'll never forget just how close we came to making it to the finals with that heart rendering loss to the Bulls in Brum. Following a move south and a season with the old Brighton B52's, I moved stateside to pursue a collegiate Football career with a Division 1 school in New York. Following unsuccessful tryouts with the Jets and the Monarchs, I now work on Wall Street and live in NYC. None of this crazy ride would have been possible without the experience I gained from the Cougars. Great memories and great times: John Lafleur's acrobatics, Muz's hatred for QB's, Dan Moore's incredible leadership, Coach Chuck leaving Eddie Harry behind for being 1 minute late for the trip to Gateshead, the tenacious hitting from the Pryce brothers, Tiggy's exceptional talents and that oh so agonizing defeat to the Bulls. In retrospect, we could have won it all. Irrespective the experience was memorable and had a profound impact on my life - Thanks to one and all.

I played the first 5 seasons with the Cougars and rate them as some of the happiest times of my life! Who could forget beating the Spartans at the start of the 1985 season? Or the AllStars at Elland Road in '86? I guess that the Cougars are no longer up and running, what a shame! Is there any possibility of a reunion with ex players/cheerleaders at a pub in Leeds? What a good site you have for the Leeds Cougars, even though i used to follow the Manchester Allstars, i saw the Cougars play many times, with some very competative games. I used to think Tiggy Bell was a superb Running Back, what ever happend to him?? I don't hear anything about the game in this country anymore, have all the teams folded? There used to be some superb teams such as the London Ravens, Leeds Cougars, Manchester Allstars/Spartans, London Olympians, Leicester Panthers ETC,ETC. I'd love to hear from anyone who could fill me in on how the sport went in the uk.

Thought I'd have a look to see if there were any relics on the web about the old BAFL and there you were - for a glorious moment I thought the Cougars might still be going strong - alas not.I spent a season with the North Herts Raiders before going off to university and was, if I remember correctly, the lightest registered player in the league - an emergencies only, Oh-God-is-there-no-one-else-we-can-put-on? cornerback. Those were the days...Great site. Brilliant, just thought I'd try looking for the Cougars on the web, a real trip down memory lane. Shame the sport never really caught on but it was good while it lasted. I've now gone back to playing the more civilised sport of Rugby League, don't think my knees would take anymore pounding on the hard baked summer pitches. Wouldn't it be great to have a reunion match. I'd like to sat thanks to Dan Moore and CT for giving me the oppurtunity to experience the game. Any one remember the Cougar prayer?????

Great web page. This was a nice trip down the old road of memories. It is good to see all the old names in print,it kind of brings back the faces.I am looking for any pictures of the games between 1988 to 90. At the moment I am Head coach of the Leeds University Celtics American football team. Its a good team in a good league and we have been to the National Championships three times winning once in 9 years. Ex youth Cougar team coach Richard Hanby also was Head coach at the Celtics for a few years. (see bcafl web site.) As it happens I am looking for anyone still interested in the beloved game, either to play, coach or surpport. Has anyone got the game we played at Odsal against the Bulls in which we won, that should have been the championship final but it wasn't.

Wow - Awesome. Great site, I was blown away when I found it. Particularly when I read all the messages especially from Dan & Greg. You guys rock. All the memories just come flooding back, great times - great trips - gut bustin training sessions and hard hitting games. It would be great to hear from any of the guys from the '88 & '89 seasons. If anyone has a copy of the '89 Panthers game at Saffron Lane on video - get in touch. Hey, what about the cheerleaders in the tub at Birmingham! oh and Mick - your away trip videos were pure filth! Cougars always were and always will be the best. And dont forget the monkey rolls - especially when doing them with Clem Brock!! Mind you the aerobics wheren't bad (least ways the instructor!) Come on - get those memories on the guestbook so we can all remember and have a laugh! Cheers for now - Scott (#35 Tight End)

Hi EverybodyWow, It's great to see so many people who were associated with the club coming to this site. It's been up and running for over 3 years now and is finally starting to feel like it's worthwhile. As some of you may know, most of my time is taken up with my other site (Cas Tigers Rugby League) but I WILL get round to adding new stuff here as soon as I can - I've just been through all my back issues of First Down (It takes a hell of a lot of time to get through 600+ copies) and have whittled them down to around 250 which feature news/pictures/match reports of Cougars stuff. As I've already said, I will add them eventually along with all the other programmes and stuff that I have.My excuse for not doing it at the moment is simple, Other website, and lack of time due to getting married a couple of weeks ago and moving house.Hopefully in the next few months, stuff should be added. Please keep filling in the guestbook, it's great to hear from old players/owners etc. and reminisce (sp?) on the past.Boom Boom!!!, Out go the LightsMark

Great, more and more old names from the past appearing on the site. But where are all the old supporters? can't all be too old to compute! If I can become a !silver surfer! I'm sure there must be some more out there.I see mike watson occasionally and Alan Newton and Pam call on us every month with Roy and Joan Park.My best memories from Cougars, and there are lots of great memories with great people, are the overtime play off victory at the Dog and Duck against the Storm, and the superb victory over the previously unbeaten Bulls at Odsal, which gave Cougars bragging rites to the '#1 ranking for a couple of weeks.More please, guys, and yes, where is Ambulance Paramedic #70 these days? Haven't seen him for months.

Bournemnouth in 1987?? Sorry Dave, we can't really put too much value in pre - National Division football, where the big boys played. 1987 was important but just a learning year, Cougar football changed in 1988 - big time! We should hear from #70 soon, you know it takes those old lineman a while to figure out this computer thing!

Another year goes by and I still look back at the Cougar years as the greatest time in my life. There is a movie which just came out in the States called "Remember the Titans" from Disneystudios. Don't miss it. Everytime I see it, it reminds me of the old gang. Happy holidays toCougar players of all ages.
